Mason SBDC: Entrepreneur Resources Fairfax Resource Room At the Mason SBDC we maintain a resource room where you can access reading materials on small business topics, use business planning software, and browse through a collection of entrepreneur start-up guides for different kinds of businesses. In addition, the SBDC is only three blocks away from the Fairfax branch of the public library, another very valuable resource for small business owners in Fairfax. George Mason University Resources The Mason Enterprise Center is a university-based economic development enterprise that focuses the energy, skills and intellectual capital of George Mason University on enterprise creation and expansion. The Mason SBDC works hard to connect businesses in the community with the impressive resources of GMU: faculty, students, alumni, researchers, information sources, inventions, facilities, private-sector connections and a wide variety of other valuable University resources. Virginia SBDC Network The Mason SBDC is just one of the 29 Small Business Development Centers located throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The individual centers in this state-wide network of SBDC's frequently collaborate -- whether it's answering specific questions from small business owners or sharing "best practices" on how to deliver services effectively. More information and a directory of the different Small Business Development Centers in the Commonwealth of Virginia is available at the Virginia SBDC website. Other Small Business Resources There are many small business resources available on the web. The Mason SBDC maintains a collection of favorite links to online resources to help you navigate through this sometimes overwhelming array of information resources available via the Internet.
