GMU Entrepreneurial Step Up Program™
The GMU Entrepreneurial Step Up Program™ provides a dynamic, highly interactive, integrated executive educational program offering insights on ‘real world’ best practices.and entrepreneurial management skills. The innovative new program provides executives of early stage, high potential growth companies with new entrepreneurial management skills to address the challenges of growing an early stage business and create value for all stakeholders.
International Business Development Program (IBDP)
The International Business Development Program (IBDP) offers a selection of targeted programs to assist both US and international small and medium information technology enterprises develop international business. We have a three stage program of consultation, international market planning and business partnerships. Our approach is customized to prepare and promote companies for the achievement of practical business results in key IT marketplaces around the world.
The Fairfax Innovation Center
The Fairfax Innovation Center joint venture of the City of Fairfax and George Mason University. The Fairfax Innovation Center is the largest university-based incubator in the commonwealth of Virginia, featuring over 49 office spaces and 29,000 + square feet of floor space. We’re a business incubation program designed to help start-up business grow and achieve maximum success.
The Virginia Small Business Development Center Network
The Virginia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, where business comes to talk business, is an organization of 29 local SBDCs across Virginia providing professional business counseling, training and information resources to help grow and strengthen Virginia businesses. The Virginia SBDC network is the most extensive business development program in the Commonwealth and a strategic alliance between the U.S. Small Business Administration, George Mason University and local sponsors throughout Virginia. These vital partners include universities, community colleges, chambers of commerce, municipalities, economic development organizations and private companies. The Community Business Partnership
Created in 1995, The Community Business Partnership is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose array of programs provide a complete resource center for training and support to those seeking to build successful small businesses. Targeted towards women, minorities and low-to-moderate income individuals, CBP offers a one-stop shop for small businesses.
Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP)
The George Mason University Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) supports a Department of Defense (DOD) program and serves as a vehicle and catalyst for building long term business relationships among major DOD contractors, 8(a), small disadvantaged business (SDB) and women owned small business (WOSB). The DoD Pilot Mentor-Protégé Program is Congressionally recognized and funded for major contractors to enhance the capabilities of SDB’s and WOSB’s. George Mason University serves as a third party developmental assistance provider to protégé firms in the following areas: General Business Management, Engineering and Technical Areas, Training.
Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP)
The Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) is a Defense Logistics Agency and George Mason University cooperative agreement to provide assistance to increase contracting and sub-contracting activity among small businesses, major prime contractors, and federal, state and local government in this locality. Its services include: counseling on business and proposal development, small business programs, program management and other procurement matters, as well as, market research, outreach and educational programs.
Telework and Training Centers (TTC)
George Mason University's Telework and Training Centers (TTC) provide close-to-home alternative workspaces, which help reduce travel, increase productivity, and improve worker morale. Semi-private and private offices are available in four Northern Virginia locations at an affordable rate.
