Marshall S. Ferrin, Director
Mr. Ferrin is a highly qualified international business development professional by virtue of his exceptional experience working with IT companies, US and foreign governments and trade associations in international marketing, sales and business development, in the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. This experience is well supported by his international affairs and economics education at the specialized School of International Service, the American University. Mr. Ferrin also has significant management and training experience specializing in the development of people, products, and services in the information technology (IT), agribusiness, and giftware industries.
During the last 20 years, he has managed international trade development projects on behalf of the United States (U.S.) Small Business Administration, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the U.S. Department of Defense, and the European Union (EU). As a corporate executive, Mr. Ferrin has successfully designed and implemented the entry into worldwide markets the long distance telecommunications services and VOIP computer telephony software of two start-up U.S.technology companies. Mr. Ferrin also established and delivered management, marketing, procurement and management accounting training programs to entrepreneurs and small business managers and staff for the private sector and cooperative institutions in developing countries.
As Director of International Business Development, the Mason Enterprise Center, Mr. Ferrin has designed and submitted proposals which secured funding for international business development projects totaling almost 1 million US Dollars from the Government of Japan (JETRO), the Government of the Saarland, Germany, the US Agency for International Development and the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Business Assistance.
